A COMMUNITY THAT

Shows Up for

its Seniors

Our Partnership with Meals on Wheels of Asheville and Buncombe County

In Buncombe County, many of the neighbors who helped build our communities are now living quietly at home, often alone, and sometimes unable to leave safely to access food or daily essentials.

That’s where care becomes community.

We are proud to stand alongside Meals on Wheels of Asheville and Buncombe County, an organization that has spent the past 50 years serving homebound seniors across Western North Carolina.

Meals on Wheels is more than a meal delivery service. It is a lifeline that helps seniors remain safe, nourished, and independent in their own homes.

WHY THIS WORK IS NEEDED

Across Western North Carolina, more seniors are facing hunger, isolation, and impossible choices.

  • Rising costs and fixed incomes
  • Limited transportation and rural isolation
  • Food security affecting more families and seniors
  • Seniors are the fastest-growing unhoused population in our country
  • 1 in 2 seniors living alone don't have enough resources to cover basic needs

Meals on Wheels ensures seniors can age with dignity, stability, and the support they deserve.
